Introduction to Suburban Backyard Composting

Starting from scratch with little to no experience in composting? Need help picking out the right composter? Or have you already started but just need some help?

Voula, our compost coach, is here to help you get the right composting system with the right outputs to fit your needs!

For $50, you can book a time-slot at Voula’s Calendly. This gets you a 30 minute consultation or it can be a deposit for an in-person visit.

All of our members starting at the Basic tier ($29.99/month) also get a complimentary 15 minute consultation. After you sign up for the membership, we will send you the Calendly link.

What does a consultation look like? We’d like to know how much space you have available, neighbor considerations/HOA rules, critters you want (earthworms) vs. critters you don’t want (rodents), time and effort you want to put in, what kind of soil you want out of it, and where do you want to use the soil? Do you just want to optimize the compost you already have going? We can give you advice for that too!
