There is an urgent need to take take of our one only planet. If you’re reading this, you already know this. But what can YOU do in YOUR local community and YOUR local environment to make a net positive impact? Beyond your own household, you can empower others through education, to be better stewards of their soil, which in turn promotes cleaner air and oceans. It’s all connected, but not everyone understands that yet.
WE’RE READY TO DO THE WORK. We want to lead the classrooms, build the community gardens, and advocate at town hall meetings. While we apply for every grant possible, we are a small, grassroots team of two working professionals and a few dedicated interns. To sustain this mission, we need your support. Many in our service area— schools, community groups, and scout troops—cannot afford our educational assemblies, workshops, and presentations. By "paying it forward," you ensure that a lack of budget never stands in the way of environmental education.
For reference, a typical school assembly costs $300, and while we offer a sliding scale, your donation bridges the gap for those with zero funding. A typical community garden compost station that can service 50 households dropping off kitchen food waste costs around $3000 to install.
Any amount helps, we thank you, and the Earth thanks you.
